Light shelf wear to tips, corners, and edges of the book and jacket, clean and unmarked. First printing, no others noted. The prince, a nephew of the Emperor Napoleon, visied America at the start of the Civil War. He observed the Battle of Bull Run and many other events of that turbulent period. The book is a collection of letters by the prince's aide-de-camp Camille Ferri-Pisani, a French military officer who accompanied him of his journey. Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
