Light shelf wear to tips, corners, and edges of the book and jacket which has three very short closed tears to the front panel. Clean and marked. First printing, full number line. Facsimile reprint of an account of the life of Jesus Christ written by Dickens for his children. From the preface: " It was written in 1849, twenty-one years before his death, expressly for his children...This life of Our Lord was written without thought of publication, in order that his family might have a permanent record of their father's thoughts." The novelist's oldest son saw no reason not to publish it after his own death if the majority of the family agreed to do so. They did and the manuscript was first published in 1934 becoming the last of Charles Dickens' works to see publication. Books and other items ship promptly with a tracking number and (generally over $15.00) jacket protectors if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
