John Wesley Hill (1862-1936) was at one time considered the foremost Methodist preacher in America. For twenty years he served as Chancellor of the Lincoln Memorial University. An organizer of the International Peace Forum he also lectured extensively on the character and ideals of the late President being called upon repeatedly to deliver addresses at Lincoln statue unveilings and other memorial events around the country.
