Very light wear to the book; no jacket. First printing, no others noted. A narrative recounting a famous 19th century Vermont incident in which the Boorn brothers, Stephen and Jesse, were convicted of murdering their brother-in-law, Russell Colvin. Convicted seven years later after a trial featuring junk science, false confession, superstition and the ever classic jail house snitch the brothers were awaiting execution. Colvin was found to be alive and the brothers were freed. Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
